Leilani Rudow Beaver is an associate attorney at Kaufman Legal Group, with primary responsibility for overseeing the firmís Political Compliance Department. Ms. Beaver joined the firm in 2000, rising steadily through the ranks to become Director of the Political Compliance Department. After passing the California Bar in 2006, Ms. Beaver became an associate attorney with the firm.
In her role as Director of the Political Compliance Department, Ms. Beaver supervised the staffing of the firmís political accounts and the annual filing of hundreds of campaign reports. Drawing on her years of experience in the Compliance Department, she now provides advice and counsel to the firmís clients on federal, state and local campaign finance matters. Ms. Beaver also handles administrative enforcement cases involving regulatory agencies, manages tax return disclosures for political and non-profit organizations, and advises non-profit clients on their election activities.
Prior to joining Kaufman Legal Group, Ms. Beaver was a research assistant at Fairbank Maslin Maullin & Associates, where she analyzed polling data and generated reports for political and non-profit clients. She also worked as an analyst at David Taussig and Associates, where she specialized in calculating revenues for municipal bonds and other public services financing.
Ms. Beaver graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1999 with a Bachelor's degree in History. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in December 2005, and became a member of the California State Bar in June 2006.
